Review by Abdelhaq Kamal

Boards of Canada's album "Space Whaling" is a journey through a mysterious and eerie soundscape. The duo's signature blend of ambient textures, intricate rhythms, and haunting melodies is on full display in this album, which offers a range of moods and atmospheres.

The opening track, "Astronaut," sets the tone with its ominous drones and distant voices, evoking a sense of isolation and uncertainty. From there, the album takes the listener on a cinematic ride through various sonic landscapes, from the dreamy "Siren Song" to the hypnotic "Celestial Mechanics."

One of the standout tracks is "Orbital," which features a pulsating beat and ethereal synths that create a sense of weightlessness and motion. The album closes with "Cosmic Dust," a tranquil and introspective piece that feels like a peaceful landing after a long journey.
